Updated 10 September 2026. This notice describes information handled through the GPA Professionals website and client portal, operated by GPA Professional Services Pty Ltd.
Information we collect and why
We use your account email and login information to provide access to your client account. You may provide contact and business details, tax information and supporting documents so GPA can review your circumstances, communicate with you and carry out the services you request. The portal records when you confirm your details and shows progress updates entered by GPA.
Google sign-in
If you choose Google sign-in, Google provides the identity information you authorise, such as your account identifier, email address, name and profile image. The website uses this information to identify, create or connect your account and authenticate your login. GPA does not receive your Google password. Google sign-in does not request access to your Gmail messages, Drive files or calendar. Email and password login is available as an alternative.
AI information assistant
If you choose to use the AI assistant when enabled, the question you type is sent to OpenAI to generate a response using official public sources. Do not include tax file numbers, bank details or identity documents. The assistant does not receive your client profile, tax records or uploaded documents automatically. This plugin does not save chat transcripts; OpenAI processes submitted questions under its applicable data policies. AI answers are general information and should be checked with GPA for your circumstances.
Storage and access
Account information is stored in WordPress. Passwords are hashed by WordPress. Submitted service forms and their attachments, and profiles and tax progress saved through the new client portal, are encrypted in the website database. Authorised GPA administrators can access client records to provide services. Clients can access their own portal details and progress. Service-form email notifications contain a reference and an administrator link rather than the submitted tax file numbers, bank details or attachments.
Service providers and cookies
The website uses GoDaddy hosting, WordPress and its login and security components. Email delivery and Google sign-in use their respective service providers. These providers may process information outside Australia. Necessary session cookies support authentication and security; hosting and security systems may record technical information such as IP addresses and requests. Opening Google sign-in or an external service is also subject to that provider’s privacy information. Google identity information is used for account access, not to obtain your unrelated Google content.
Your choices and requests
You can review and correct contact details in the portal. Contact GPA to request access, correction, account closure or deletion, or to raise a privacy concern. GPA will review the request and any applicable professional or record-keeping requirements before removing records. Closing an account may not remove records that must be retained for the services provided. You can revoke GPA’s Google connection in your Google Account’s third-party connections settings; this does not itself delete your GPA client records.
